Pwnage brings to the market the first sports drink dedicated to, fueled by, and created for the e-sports and gaming culture.
With the e-sports marketplace exploding, it's only a matter of time before dedicated product offerings start flooding the marketplace. Fortunately for Pwnage, very few companies have tapped into the niche electronic sports market, and the company came to SmashBrand looking to be the first beverage to do so. Pwnage was founded by gamers with gamer needs in mind, and the company needed a brand image to back up the awesome attitude.
Realizing that most energy drinks are unhealthy, Pwnage was ready to make waves with their new product. In fact, many of the energy drinks gamers down regularly have adverse effects on how they feel and how they play. Side effects from traditional energy drinks such as fatigue, shaky hands, and sluggishness are unacceptable when seconds count in the e-sports arena.
Working together with SmashBrand, Pwnage wanted packaging and messaging that spoke directly to their target market, and we helped create a vibrant, bold new look to help attract gamers to the company's caffeine free Monster and RedBull alternative. Every element of package/product design was inspired directly by the e-sports and gamer community.
