With a unique, delicious take on traditional ice cream flavors, WayFare was ready to introduce their innovative new offering to a consumer base hungry for quality and originality.

Overview

The food-focused element of WayFare Inc. has revolutionized the way we think about ice cream, with their new oat-based alternative to dairy and creamy goodness. The company had a truly unique ice cream on its hands, but in a market flooded with non-dairy staples like soy and nut-based products, the company understood how difficult it might be to advertise and attract consumers.

Not only was the WayFare predicament an opportunity to get a little crazy and have fun with packaging, but it was a prospect many marketers hope for. Here, SmashBrand had a truly unique product people were bound to love, and WayFare was asking us to help bring the product to life. That’s just what we did.

After various creative approaches, we found a product voice that screamed flavor and demanded attention. New packaging practically jumps out at the consumer with beautiful, delicious-looking flavor profiles and color combinations. As expected, the new look immediately stood out from the competition, and feedback from an initial launch into Whole Foods has been phenomenal.
